Small People Day Nursery

Project Background Brief:
Powerplus were commissioned at concept stage to design and install electrical works into new build extension units on a forestry based nursery site. Alongside a full electrical installation, Powerplus also completed specialist works such as remote access CCTV, door entry control and fire and intruder alarms.

Benefits of the electrical and specialist works carried out at Small People Day Nursery in Cropwell Bishop:
- Improved safety and security: The new electrical and specialist systems have helped to improve the safety and security of the nursery site.
- Increased efficiency: The new systems have also helped to increase the efficiency of the nursery operation. For example, the remote access CCTV system allows the nursery staff to remotely monitor the site.
- Reduced costs: The new systems are more energy-efficient than the previous systems, which will help to reduce the nursery’s operating costs.
Particular Challenges:
All installation works had to be carefully designed and planned to ensure the nursery was compliant with OFSTED regulations. As this was a nursery, all works were completed to be high-tech, whilst ensuring easy and safe use to protect staff and children.

Remote Access door entry systems and CCTV. Powerplus delivered jargon-free training to nursery staff to ensure safe and sufficient use of all technology.
